WebFort Macon State Park Beach - is a great little place, where we stopped so that the kids could have a standing lifeguard present on the beach. The parking is free, there is a concession stand and bathrooms. We were staying in Emerald Isle, where there are only patrolling lifeguards and it was just a 20- 30 minute drive.
