If two planets are exactly 180 degrees apart, we would say that is an exact opposition, or an orb of 0 degrees. If, however, the planets are 184 degrees apart, we would call it an opposition with an orb of 4 degrees. Table of Contents show. WebI tend to use a 10 degree orb for the luminaries and planets. For North Node/South Node connections, I tend to use a 5 degree or so orb. For asteroids about a 3 degree orb. Fixed Stars would be even tighter with 2 degree orb or less.
